Peckham’s Greenhouse is a local institution. Set among the pastoral beauty of Little Compton, RI, it is a garden destination revered by locals and summer visitors alike. Run by the Peckham family for several generations, the greenhouse offers landscape design services, garden supplies and of course, an amazing array of unique indoor and outdoor plants spread out on its grounds and multiple large greenhouses.
Even in the winter, Peckham’s is a gorgeous place to meander through (just check their hours in the winter before you go as they are reduced).
This year, Peckham’s hosted a Holiday open house and market featuring local makers. One of my best friends Nicole Lebreux curated the market and I was so excited to see how it all came together.
There were ornaments made from a variety of materials, candles (including some from the amazing Jujiewicks ), soaps, jewelry, scarves, Christmas decor made from reclaimed wood, and other unique handmade items.
Peckham’s was selling a beautiful array of traditional holiday plants such as poinsettia and cyclamen and a gorgeous assortment of terrariums, handcrafted wreaths, and amaryllis bulbs.
Besides the charming Christmas displays and the holiday market, the open house was a wonderful opportunity to spend a cozy afternoon with friends who were home for the holidays and buy some really special gifts. I heard that the market was such a success that it will now become an annual tradition, so sign up for the Peckham’s mailing list to be notified of future events!
I hope you and your families have a wonderful Holiday season!
Hi there!
I’m a glass artist from Pawtucket RI and recently heard about your holiday market. I’d love to hear the details for this years event and apply to the show if I have the date free still.
Hope to hear from you soon!
